I always wanted to do a pinkish, albinoid focused set. Once my whole head is platinum again, I’ll come back to the idea.

Jenn found an old, awesome edition of RIP magazine while we were at Half Price bookstore the other night. I love how the lighting made Jenn & Sean Yseult’s hair match.

day 135—10TH of MAY, 2012
Exactly one year ago, today, I started the daily Photo Journal for the ‘365’ Project.
Now, it’s been exactly 365 days and I’m about half of the way. At any rate, it’s been a year, so I’m thinking I might just call it and change my url back (unless it’s taken) and continue to use this page, or I’ll continue ‘til I hit the 365th day. Like, officially. Regardless of the fact that at this rate it’ll take me another year… lmao. And so, here’s a filler photo to mark the occasion!
Jenn has pushed me into updating my Flickr page more often, and by pushed I mean it wasn’t very difficult. Actually, I think this is where & how I’ll list prints, eventually. Otherwise another page I really don’t need, but whatever: Flickr

May 2012: Prints

  • Prints plus Project:

As a trial run, I’m working on a disc of a couple of photos; one portrait, one nature picture, to print and see how I like the quality. As I wrote before on Facebook, I’ve never done this, but I don’t think I’ll be interested in much more than attempting to sell standard prints for now.

I have one other print idea that I think could be really fun to put together but for now it seems it’ll be a lot more involved than I can immediately manage. Also, I’ll need to make 12 (plus front & back image) additional pictures for it to work out like I’ve imagined. A fun yet provocative, dark-nature themed calendar with a fall ‘all-year-round’ feel. Other than the crazy-cat-calendar-mall-lady feeling looming over me as I try to imagine actually doing this—and it not turning out like a Where’s Waldo of scantily clad cheesecake cat poses filled with random things like barren, ill-sprouted weeds and furry crack growths, I’ve ultimately no idea how this’ll even work out if pulled off. Before my brain bursts with any more brilliant ideas, the actual calendar will likely be more mini-sized than regular wall-sized seeing how this might be too expensive to even consider before, when and if, I make anything from prints to pull this off.

I hope it works out though because the idea of working on new, themed pictures to go toward a much larger project like this truly sounds exciting. And as of this very moment those are my only print plans. I’ll be lucky to afford to pull them all off.

I’ve virtually no idea what this is going to come out looking like. A bit of a leap of faith. As far as pricing goes, possible print requests(?), a print section for my website or something like it, and so on, I’ll need to figure things out as I go.

Any thoughts / tips appreciated.

  • day 133—19TH of APRIL, 2012

Mary, a dear (and sharty) friend, who currently lives & teaches in Thailand, is home visiting for a couple of weeks again. We first met in school a few years ago, but after Mary graduated she moved to Thailand for a teaching position with her boyfriend. Now we get to visit each other once or twice a year. It’s always good times when we reunite.

Photos: Random East Bay sight-seeing and adventuring. This specific kick-it spot would have to be the newly built hologram vaginal-jesus church right in the middle of Lake Merritt. Getting our knees bent.

It’s easier to work on my website while I have the whole thing down, but for now it’s back ‘up’ again. Mostly cleaned it up a bit; more space for new things. Here’s the link again: Hilary-Keller.com
